Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 2026-06-15
Service: Adorvi (the "Service"), operated by Rishi Venkat
Effective date: June 15, 2026
Last updated: June 15, 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy governs the content you upload and the conduct you engage in when using Adorvi. It is part of, and incorporated into, our Terms of Service. Because Adorvi lets you upload photos of real people and apply generative-AI styling to them, we enforce this Policy strictly. Violating it is a serious breach of the Terms.
By using the Service, you agree to comply with this Policy and to be responsible for everything you upload and create.
1. Core Rule: Only Upload Content You Have the Right to Use
You may upload and create with the Service only if:
- you own the content, or have all rights and licenses needed to use it; and
- you have the consent of every identifiable person depicted, for the uses described in the Terms (hosting, AI restyling, and display in the Letter); and
- for any minor depicted, you are the parent/legal guardian or have the verifiable consent of a parent/legal guardian.
If you cannot truthfully make these representations for a given Photo or piece of content, do not upload it.
2. Prohibited Content
You must not upload, generate, create, publish, or share content that:
2.1 Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) - zero tolerance
- Any sexual, sexualized, or exploitative content involving a minor, or any content that sexualizes a minor, in any form (real, edited, drawn, or AI-generated), is strictly and absolutely prohibited. We have zero tolerance. We will remove such content, terminate the user, preserve relevant data as required, and report to the appropriate authorities (for example, in the US, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), and to law enforcement as required by law).
2.2 Non-consensual intimate imagery
- Sexual or intimate images of any person created or shared without that person's consent, including "revenge porn" and images obtained or distributed without authorization.
2.3 Deepfakes, impersonation & unauthorized likeness
- Synthetic or manipulated media that falsely depicts a real person doing or saying something they did not, in a deceptive or harmful manner.
- Using the Service to impersonate any person or entity, or to misrepresent your affiliation with anyone.
- Using a person's name, image, voice, or likeness without their consent, including for the purpose of harassment, fraud, defamation, or commercial exploitation.
2.4 Sexual content / nudity
- Pornographic or sexually explicit content, and non-artistic nudity. Adorvi is a sentimental gifting product and is not a venue for adult content.
- In particular, using the Service to generate nude, semi-nude, or sexually explicit imagery of any person is strictly prohibited, including digitally removing clothing from photographs of real people or generating explicit imagery of any identifiable individual.
- In accordance with the EU AI Act and other applicable regulations, AI-generated intimate imagery created or distributed without consent is illegal in many jurisdictions.
- We use automated safety filters (including provider-side AI safety filters) and review reports of violations. Content found to violate this prohibition will be removed, access may be suspended, and the violation will be reported to the relevant authorities where required by law. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy on this matter.
2.5 Harassment, hate, and violence
- Content that harasses, bullies, threatens, stalks, intimidates, or incites violence against any person or group.
- Hateful content that attacks or demeans people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, age, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, or other protected characteristic.
- Graphic violence, gore, or content that promotes self-harm or terrorism.
2.6 Illegal or infringing content
- Content that infringes or misappropriates any copyright, trademark, trade secret, patent, right of publicity, or other right.
- Content that is otherwise unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, or that promotes illegal activity, illegal goods, or regulated products.
2.7 Private, confidential, or sensitive information
- Content that discloses another person's private or sensitive information without authorization ("doxxing").
- You must not enter or include in any field on the Service sensitive personal information such as phone numbers, residential addresses, health or medical information, government identification numbers (such as Social Security numbers or driver's license numbers), financial account numbers, passwords, or similar sensitive data - about yourself or any other person - beyond what is reasonably necessary to create the Letter.
2.8 Malicious content
- Malware, viruses, or files engineered to harm the Service, its users, or third parties (including files that disguise their true type to bypass our upload checks).
3. Prohibited Conduct
You must not:
3.1. Abuse the AI features. Do not attempt to bypass, jailbreak, or manipulate the AI or its safety filters; do not use the AI to generate prohibited content (Section 2); do not use the styling pipeline for biometric identification, facial recognition, or surveillance.
3.2. Abuse rate limits or infrastructure. Do not circumvent or attempt to circumvent rate limits, payload limits, or other technical controls; do not launch denial-of-service attacks; do not probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service without authorization.
3.3. Scrape, harvest, or copy. Do not scrape, crawl, harvest, or use automated means to access the Service or collect data, and do not enumerate or attempt to guess Letter URLs that are not yours.
3.4. Resell or commercialize. Do not resell, sublicense, white-label, or commercially exploit the Service or its outputs except as expressly permitted in the Terms.
3.5. Misuse access. Do not access another person's Letter or data without authorization, attempt to defeat optional password protection, or use the Service to send spam, phishing, or unwanted bulk messages.
3.6. Misrepresent. Do not provide false information, including a false email, or falsely claim consent you do not have.
3.7. Reverse engineer. Do not reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code, models, or prompts of the Service except where such restriction is prohibited by law.
4. Special Note on Photos of Other People
Because Adorvi is built around uploading and restyling photos of real people - often the Recipient and family members who never agreed to anything - you bear full responsibility for:
- having a lawful basis and consent to upload each person's image;
- ensuring AI restyling of their image is something they would consent to;
- guardian consent for any minor; and
- not using anyone's likeness to harass, deceive, defame, or embarrass them.
When in doubt, ask the person first or do not upload the image.
5. Enforcement
5.1. We may, at our sole discretion and without prior notice, take any of the following actions if we believe content or conduct violates this Policy or the Terms:
- remove, disable, or restrict access to content or a Letter;
- refuse to process or publish content;
- suspend or permanently terminate your access to the Service;
- withhold or forfeit fees already paid (no refund for termination for cause);
- preserve and disclose data where required or appropriate; and
- report to law enforcement or other authorities, especially for CSAM, threats of violence, or other serious illegal activity.
5.2. We use a combination of automated filtering (including provider-side AI safety filters) and human review of reports. We are not obligated to monitor all content, but we reserve the right (but not the obligation) to: (1) monitor the Service for violations of these Terms; (2) take appropriate legal action against anyone whose use violates applicable law or these Terms, including reporting to law enforcement authorities; (3) deny access to anyone who violates these Terms or interferes with others' use of the Service; and (4) otherwise manage the Service to protect our rights and ensure its proper functioning.
5.3. Consent to monitoring. By using the Service, you consent to such automated and human monitoring and review of content you upload or generate, and to our reporting of apparent unlawful content (including CSAM) to law enforcement and appropriate authorities. You understand that you may be subject to legal consequences if you violate these Terms or applicable law.
5.4. Repeat infringers. Consistent with our DMCA Policy, we will terminate, in appropriate circumstances, users who are repeat infringers of intellectual-property rights.
6. How to Report Abuse
If you believe content on Adorvi violates this Policy - including non-consensual imagery, content depicting you or someone you are responsible for without consent, harassment, or suspected CSAM - please report it immediately:
- Email: help@adorvi.com
- For copyright complaints, use the procedure in our DMCA Policy (help@adorvi.com).
- If you believe a child is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services and law enforcement directly.
Please include the Letter URL (if known), a description of the issue, and how to contact you. We will review reports promptly and act as appropriate.
7. Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, additional notice. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
